ซึ่งวันนี้เราจะนำเกณฑ์การจัดอันดับของ SCImago มาให้ดูกันว่าเกณฑ์การจัดอันดับวัดจากอะไรบ้าง SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) จัดอันดับโดยการดึงชื่อและข้อมูลสถาบัน/หน่วยงาน จากฐานข้อมูล Scopus โดยการจัดอันดับนั้นสามารถดูได้ทั้งแบบในภาพรวม คือ ไม่แยกประเภทสถาบัน/หน่วยงาน ไม่แยกตัวชี้วัด และไม่แยกสาขาวิชาในการจัดอันดับ หรือเลือกดูเฉพาะกลุ่ม โดยแยกเป็น

1. ตามประเภทสถาบัน/หน่วยงาน แบ่งเป็น 5 กลุ่ม คือ Government, Health, Universities, Companies, Non-profit และ All sectors (รวม 5 กลุ่มแรกเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน กรณีต้องการดูการจัดอันดับแบบไม่แยกตามประเภทสถาบัน/หน่วยงาน)
2. ตามตัวชี้วัด แบ่งเป็น 3 กลุ่ม คือ Research rank, Innovation rank, Societal rank และ Overall rank (รวม 3 กลุ่มแรกเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน กรณีต้องการดูการจัดอันดับแบบไม่แยกตามตัวชี้วัด)
3. ประเภทสาขาวิชา ซึ่งแบ่งเป็น 19 กลุ่ม เช่น Agricultural and biological sciences และ Computer science
การจัดอันดับแบบรวมทุกตัวชี้วัด (Research, Innovation และ Societal) จะมีสัดส่วน คือ Research 50%, Innovation 30% และ Societal 20%

1.Research 50% ประกอบด้วย

normalized impact
excellence with leadership (main contributor)
output (total publications in Scopus)
not own journals output
own journals, international collaboration
high quality publication (Q1)
excellence (scientific outputs that is included in the top 10% of the most cited papers)
scientific leadership
OA, scientific talent pool (total number of different authors from an institution in the total publication output)

2.Innovation 30% ประกอบด้วย
innovative knowledge (an institution cited in patents)
technological impact (percentage of the scientific publication output cited in patents)
patents ( number of patent applications, simple families)

3.Societal 20% ประกอบด้วย
Almetrics ได้แก่ PlumX metrics (mentions in Twitter, Facebook, blogs, news and comments), Mendeley (number of documents that have more than one reader in Mendeley)
number of backlinks
web size (number of pages associated to the instiutions' URL)
การจัดลำดับด้วยการดึงข้อมูลจาก SCOPUS แบบดูภาพรวมหรือแบบเฉพาะกลุ่ม

การคำนวณ นั้นนับจาก 5 ปีย้อนจนถึง 2 ปีก่อนปีที่จัดอันดับ เช่น ปีที่จัดอันดับปี 2021 ข้อมูลทั้งหมดที่จะนำมาคำนวณจะดูจากตั้งแต่ปี 2016 – 2022 เป็นต้น อีกทั้ง ในช่วง 5 ปี (เช่น ปี 2016 – 2022) ที่นำมาคำนวณ ในปีสุดท้ายต้องมีผลงานตีพิมพ์อย่างน้อย 100 ผลงาน
